“We strive to provide the best service for our patients, using the latest mobile technology.”

Origin Story
As an Emergency Room nurse in the Twin Cities, I was frequently consulted for ultrasound-guided IV insertions and blood draws, procedures that often posed challenges in other settings. Over time, I began to notice a troubling pattern: many patients were being referred to the emergency room for issues that could have been safely and effectively managed outside the hospital, with the right tools and expertise.
One case in particular stayed with me. A patient was sent from urgent care to the emergency room simply for a blood draw. She had already endured eight failed attempts at a blood draw before arriving, even though she had a port. Unfortunately, nurses at urgent cares aren’t trained to access ports, so their only option was to refer her to the emergency room. When she got to the emergency room, she was triaged and left waiting in the lobby for hours due to high patient volumes. It was clear to me that this visit could have been completely avoided if the proper resources had been available at the point of care, specifically, ultrasound technology or port access capability.
This experience inspired me to found Precision Access, a mobile vascular access service designed to bring high-quality, specialized care directly to patients. Our goal is to reduce unnecessary emergency room visits by providing expert IV services in more convenient, cost-effective settings.
